Who we are

Dealish is based in Melbourne, Australia. To ask what we hold about you, correct it, or make a complaint, write to [email protected]. We reply within 30 days.

What we keep

To run Dealish we keep your email address, the stores you pick, your shopping lists and pantry, and the household and taste choices you make, such as how many people you cook for and the recipes you keep or swap.

If you sign in with Apple, we get the name and email Apple shares with us. You can choose to hide your email when you sign in.

If you look around as a guest, what you set up is kept against a random ID with no email or name. Leaving guest mode deletes it.

What stays on your phone

If you connect a calendar, it's read on your phone, along with which calendars you've chosen. Only simple signals, like 'busy Tuesday evening', are sent to plan your week. Event titles, people and places never leave your phone.

Photos and shared text you import are used only for that import.

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist on our website, we keep your email address, your postcode if you add it, and which page and ad or link brought you there. We use them to email you when there's a spot, when Dealish reaches your area, and with the odd bit of launch news.

We keep them until you join Dealish or unsubscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or write to [email protected] and we'll take you off within 5 working days.

To stop automated sign-ups, we keep a one-way scrambled form of your internet address for up to two hours. It can't be turned back into the address.

Where it's stored

Your data is held by Supabase, our database provider, in its Sydney (Australia) region, and encrypted in transit.

Our website runs on Cloudflare, and our emails are sent through Resend and received in Google Workspace. All three are based in the United States.

What we don't do

No ads, no tracking across other apps or websites, and we don't sell or share your data.

Dealish isn't affiliated with Coles, Woolworths or ALDI, and doesn't send them anything about you.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time, and delete your account in the app (Me › Delete account). Deleting it removes everything we hold about you, straight away.
